ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119-1 - Concepts & Definitions

ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119-1 - Concepts & Definitions, is the first of part of International Standard, ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119 - Software Testing. ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119 is comprised of a set of five parts which have been written by Working Group 26 (WG26) of the ISO/IEC JTC1/SC7 Software and Systems Engineering committee.

The reason for producing ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119-1 was to provide a common reference of terms and concepts upon which all other parts of the ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119 standards set are to be based upon.

ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119-1 is a high level document and is almost a glossary-like in its structure. It provides an overview of key software testing concepts, processes and documents, lists definitions of software testing terminology. The standard also gives practical examples of how when and where concepts, processes and documents fit in to software testing projects.

ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119-1 is organised into the sections below
